Another hit and run crash in Sarasota early this morning

TRAFFIC ALERT

 

Sarasota Police officers are investigating a hit and run crash with serious injuries in the 3400 block of N Tamiami Trail (US 41). A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle & the driver left the scene. US 41 is closed from Myrtle to Highland while officers investigate.

 

UPDATE: All lanes of North Tamiami Trail are now open between Myrtle and Highland. The crash is under investigation by Sarasota Police.
