Venice: Fire starts in a truck loaded with shredded paper

Venice Fire Rescue and Public Works responded to the Venezia Park area Thursday for an incident involving a commercial truck carrying shredded paper. We’re not exactly sure how it started, but the shredded paper began smoldering in the back of the truck, so Fire personnel had the driver dump the pile so they could extinguish it. Then Public Works staff helped with cleaning backup. Excellent teamwork!
