Several Siesta Key residents are not happy with the 1-800-Ask-Gary guy, after Gary Kompothecras decided to hold a community meeting regarding the development of a 7-story hotel, without notifying the stake holders.

With new developments in the county or any of the local cities, the developer is supposed to have meetings with the public, to get their input and sale their project to the public.  Gary did that; however, they did not indicate a date of the meeting.  They ended up having the meeting, excluding many members of the public that oppose this buildout.   Gary’s attorney stated that the notice was done in error and they held the meeting because they did not want to confuse the large group of people that were expected.

The Herald Tribune wrote up a story on this with a lot more details.  You can read it by clicking — >>> here.
