Sarasota Police and SCSO are making an announcement on changes within the department
Covering mental and behavior outreach programs, via a Behavioral Response Team. Having a clinician with officers when an individual contacts law enforcement and are in crisis. They will always send police with the clinicians to ensure their safe. The idea is to provide individuals with the support that officers may not be the best suited to take on by themselves.
