Sarasota: City administrative offices will be closed on Nov. 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.

Residential garbage, recycling and yard waste collection and commercial garbage collection schedules will be unaffected during the holiday week.
Hours of operation at recreation and cultural arts facilities will vary:
- Arlington Park and Aquatic Complex, 2650 Waldemere St., will be closed.
- Lido Pool, 400 Benjamin Franklin Drive, remains closed until further notice.
- Nature Trails at Bobby Jones Golf Club, 1000 Circus Blvd., will be open regular hours: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Golf courses are closed until early 2022 for planned renovations.
- Payne Park Tennis Center, 2050 Adams Lane, will be closed.
- Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 34th St., will be closed. The state-run COVID-19 testing site at this location will be open for daily operations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, 777 N. Tamiami Trail – The Box Office will be closed.
The annual Veterans Day parade has been canceled by organizers from the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee due to the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing public health concerns.
