The John Ringling Causeway Bridge is CLOSED in all directions due to a medical helicopter transporting a person who was involved in a boating accident. Please find an alternate route.
The bridge is now open
The Ringling Bridge is back open. Sarasota County reps tell us it closed temporarily to prepare a landing zone near 10th to airlift a person hit by a boat. Because of the weather it was canceled and the victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance as a trauma alert. @mysuncoast pic.twitter.com/5MCoDzHqiB
