Sarasota Sheriff’s Drive-Thru Halloween

So here’s the deal: Just because several local events are no longer taking place and parents may be apprehensive about walking kids through the neighborhood this year, doesn’t mean Halloween has to be “cancelled.” We want your little ones to still enjoy candy (hopefully without the cavities) … and get to enjoy the holiday weekend in a safe environment.
That is why we are inviting YOU to an SCSO Drive-Thru Halloween on Friday, October 30, at our Sarasota headquarters! The idea is simple… pack up the kids, throw on their costumes, and drive through our parking lot where a few deputies will be handing out candy and other giveaways. It will be short and sweet but it’s an opportunity to get you out of the house and the kids excited about free candy and seeing our guys and gals in uniform.
The event will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Our address is 6010 Cattleridge Blvd. Please enter Cattleridge Blvd. between the Arby’s restaurant and BP convenience store, before heading north toward the event. Because this is a drive-thru program, there will be no on-site parking and all attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles. For the safety of both attendees and agency members, face masks are strongly encouraged.
