No gas skimmers found at North Port gas stations

Thursday, Detectives of the North Port Police Department Financial Crimes Unit, Intelligence Unit, and Digital Forensics Unit, in conjunction with Department of Agriculture Agents initiated a skimmer sweep of gas stations within the City of North Port. We are happy to report that NO skimming devices have been located. All gas stations and fuel pumps have been inspected and cleared. This will be a proactive and reoccurring effort with North Port Police Department and the Department of Agriculture to ensure that these types of crimes are curtailed. The North Port Police Department would like to thank the Department of Agriculture for their assistance in these operations. NPPD is a member of the US Secret Service Electronic Task Force. Swipe on!
