The 11th Annual Venice Bible Readathon is bound to upset the Mayor and here is why….

Oh boy, a little bug is whispering in my ear that this event is not permitted, so will they show up at the Centennial Park Pavilion?   It is an event that has taken place within the City of Venice for years and something that the former Mayor Holic always join and be one of the many readers. Well, Ronald (Venice Mayor) is not going to be happy that there is a gathering and for icing on the cake, that it is a Christian gathering.  Ronald is so afraid of gatherings, another bug is whispering that he is the reason why Venice is the only city holding meetings via zoom.  I mean wouldn’t we miss the zoom meetings after all, I for one would miss the lovely Mayor bringing his laptop into the bathroom during the meetings, that is always fun to witness………..

Please join us for reading, helping and sharing in proclaiming God’s Word over the City of Venice.

WHAT

A Bible Readathon is 90 continuous hours of reading the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation without commentary.  Up to 350 people can participate.  Readers will be reading from the King James Bible (on the podium already) and may read for 15 minutes.

WHO

Anyone who would like to read God’s word publicly is invited to participate. Children! Teenagers! Pastors! Politicians! Snowbirds! Anyone can participate.  Reading is done round the clock so time slots are available day and night.

WHY

We read His Holy Word publicly to honor God and share His Word with the residents of Venice, FL and its visitors, as an act of faith that God will accomplish what He would like to do in the city of Venice.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
