Please pay attention out there on area roadways. Rescue 84 was responding to an EMS call this afternoon when they were involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle on Price Blvd. between San Mateo Dr. and Haberland Blvd.

 

Early indications appear that the driver which caused the accident was pulling around the vehicle in front of them, which had pulled to the side of the road because of the oncoming rescue. Please try and be more aware of emergency vehicles.

 

The good news is that despite extensive damage to both the vehicle and the Rescue, only minor injuries were sustained and everyone will be all right. Thank you Charlotte and Sarasota County Fire Rescue for helping out!
