Goodbye Publix. Winn-Dixie won’t require customers to wear face masks

 

 

ABC7: SOUTHWEST Fla. – Winn-Dixie won’t require customers to wear face masks inside its stores, the corporation said Thursday.

The grocery store chain is instead “strongly encouraging” customers to wear masks. 

“Currently, we are adhering to all local safety mandates within each of our stores and strongly encouraging those who are medically able to wear a face covering to do so,” Joe Caldwell, the director of corporate communications and government affairs at Southeastern Grocers, Winn-Dixie’s parent company, said in an email.
