The City of Venice is excited to announce the start of the extensive improvement project on the existing City Hall campus.

This project will include the demolition and replacement of Fire Station 1, a 7,000-square-foot building addition to City Hall to house the Building Department, renovations to the existing City Hall building, installation of a 1000 KW generator and a new central energy plant to serve the entire campus. Work will also include overall site drainage improvements, landscaping and parking improvements across the entire site.
The sequence of work will be as follows:
1) Fire Station and City Hall Expansion:
i. Start: June 17, 2020
ii. Finish: July 22, 2021
2) Generator and Energy Plant:
i. Start: June 17, 2020
ii. Finish: December 2020
3) Site Work around City Hall:
i. Start: Sept. 1, 2020
ii. Finish: Aug. 6, 2021
4) Interior Work within City Hall:
i. Start: July 23, 2021
ii. Finish: Nov. 12, 2021
Parking will be provided for City staff and the general public throughout the project, however parking locations will shift as the work progresses.
