Fans tuning into the mid-season premiere of Siesta Key were surprised to learn the two-hour premiere was shaved down to one hour, with Alex Kompothecras ultimately scrubbed from the show.
The 25-year-old Kompothecras was fired from the show earlier on Tuesday, after allegedly racist social media posts surfaced, according to TMZ
MTV also released a statement which read, ‘We’ve made the decision to cut ties with Alex and are editing the current season to minimize his presence. He will not be in future seasons of Siesta Key.’
