Incident Description
A ARV FAILURE ON A 24? FORCE MAIN CAUSED 15,000 GALLONS OF RAW SEWAGE TO SPILL IN THE ROADSIDE SWALE AND INTO THE ADJACENT STORMWATER STRUCTURE. THE CREWS WERE ABLE TO ISOLATE THE ARV AND STOP THE SPILL. THE RECOVERY EFFORTS YIELDED 10,000 GALLONS OF COMBINED SEWAGE AND STORMWATER. SURFACE WATERS WERE IMPACTED AND SAMPLING HAS BEGUN. CLEAN UP AND NOTIFICATIONS ARE PROCEEDING ACCORDING TO PROTOCOL. AFTER THE RAINY SEASON THIS WILL BE SCHEDULED THE LINE TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR FULL REPAIR TO THE ARV.
