The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Sarasota man on felony burglary charges after detectives connected him to multiple break-ins at local businesses.

Detectives began their investigation when two Sarasota businesses were burglarized during the early morning hours on June 2 and June 10. In both cases, Brian Ceo, DOB 07/15/85, is seen on video surveillance using a cinder block to smash the front door of each location and steal multiple items including $170 in cash, three cases of beer, 17 packs of cigarettes, and an entire cash register. Through investigation, detectives were able to track him down with support from Longboat Key and Sarasota Police Departments. On Wednesday afternoon, Ceo was taken into custody by the Sarasota Police Department. At the time of his arrest, he was wearing the same clothing seen in surveillance footage. During an interview, Ceo admitted to committing burglaries in the area.
