FYI: Multiple protests scheduled over the coming days in the downtown Sarasota area.

They are being promoted as peaceful protests, but local law enforcement is all over it just incase that changes.

?Let’s make this very clear for the protestors as they move forward:

✔️ Making sure that your frustrated voice is heard in a peaceful way is OK.

❌ Trying to destroy and burn down our community and putting lives are risk is NOT OK.

My experience locally has been that true local protestors have always been peaceful and respectful. The only time I have run into problems is when protestors have been bused in from other areas. I hope that doesn’t happen here.
