The Venezia Park improvement project has officially started work this week. The project involves the installation of a 6 ft. wide asphalt walking trail, native landscaping, ADA curb ramps, new picnic tables and new benches. There are survey stakes going in the ground today to mark out the proposed trail layout. City staff will be working closely with the contractor, AW Hughey Construction Services, to coordinate the work and to minimize the disruptions to the park. This project will last approximately 3 months and the project cost is $245,000. While portions of the park will be off limits due to the trail and landscaping work, the playground and other areas away from the trail will remain open and accessible. Thank you in advance for your patience as we work on this important project within Venezia Park.
